The photos are up!

Monday, January 4, 2010

Well, we got through this one, though we had a number of headaches such as finding last minute replacements for a chef and the videographer, not to mention having to make adjustments because we really needed a couple more waiters, and going beyond the count that we should have stuck with for maximum capacity.

But, we had a good time, and I know a few other people did as well.  The party of five at the back celebrating the birthday of one person in their group had a great time.  I definitely would love to hang out with them another night.  Charles, the assistant chef brought in someone else to help there, and Al's son Vince pitched in as well.

Big ups to the guys at Mission Grille that pitched in to help out on their day off; the restaurant is closed on Sundays folks.

We're working on putting together the next few ones which will be more intimate and will allow us to get more footage for the television show concepts.

Thanks again for your support.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
