Sometimes I like to try new Pinot Gris/Grigio wines, those that hint at peach, pear, stone fruits and exotic fruits. One of the best I had was is actually from either Australia or New Zealand and only comes out every couple of years. Anyway, while on a quick trip, I tried something new, and this wine while resplendent with some nice flavors, it is somewhat between muted and pronounced in nature, riding the rails of both, or vacillating between the two.
Honestly, this wine is nice, and is growing on me as the aroma does lure you out, but the actual flavors that you experience are based upon how much is in your mouth. Drink a little, and you taste one thing, drink more and you get the aspects of something else.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that you get peach, pear and something exotic that I can't place; nope, guava.
