Blackstone is not a superior brand, but one of those that you can fill a party with at an easy price.  It's your low-cost, everyone's okay wine that can fit the budget of just about everyone.  It's unpretentious, doesn't overdeliver and doesn't underdeliver either.  I picked this bottle up on a whim, and was delightfully surprised at my first sip.

The nose is definitely floral and the taste gives you a combination of muted citrus and a little but of pear-ishness.  This wine is easily drinkable by anyone who isn't looking for the best, but also anyone who hasn't started to develop their wine palate.  It's a great introductory wine and can still be perfect with salads, grilled chicken, spicy chicken, seafood and pasta.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
