Earlier this year, I learned why the wines in the northernmost parts of Italy cost more, as well as why they are so beautiful.  This is an example of this.

This wine has a little oily unctuousness that reminds me so much of a Gruner Veltliner but starts off with some bright Meyers lemon combined with just a little bit of the tropical wonk of pineapple.  Then it slowly transforms somewhere between twenty to thirty seconds with the oily veil on your tongue and the flavor slowly seeping away as it crawls down the back of your throat.

The weight is a little more than middle of the road and the color is a straw yellow.  The nose is floral.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
