It's important to know that I am not a gourmand, epicurian or sommelier, but a wine enthusiast, and in that, I speak from the position of a person that enjoys a good wine, not searching for some obscure hint or taste that only a greyhound or shark could detect.

That said, I can honestly say that this was one of the worst sauvignon blancs that I have ever had, if not the worst. While I have had some that have very plain tastes, that some people like, this taste was horrid. Maybe I got a bad bottle, and saying that, I will honestly give this another try somewhere else, but I am not expecting any improvements.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
