My first excursion with Montes was with their well-respected and well-loved M, a delicious meritage of red wines. So, it made sense for me to start trying their other releases.

This wine is a blend of sauvignon blanc grapes from the Casablanca Valley (51%) and the Curico Valley.

The bottle says that the aromas and tastes has gooseberry and hints of asparagus, though I can't ever remember tasting gooseberries. The taste, however, is both classic and phenomenal for this type of wine, delivering a superb combination of lemon and lime citrus flavors (it's better than Sprite folks).

Get this wine, and whomever you serve it to will love you.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
