Sometimes arrogance is to be appreciated,
and what would be more bold than to name a wine that starts
with your name? But in this case, it works!!.
I first came across Masi when I tried their
Amarone at a wine tasting event last year, and I came to
love them at that point. I even tried their Campiofiorin
when I couldn't find this release from them.
Masianco is what's called a SuperVenetian,
and I am sure that you have heard of the SuperTuscans.
It's 75% Pinot Grigio and 25% Verduzzo, which I expect is
the Italian name for Verdejo -- but I could be wrong.
Giving off a wonderful aroma, it has an even better taste,
basically the second grape cuts the Pinot Grigio the right
way, giving you a unique taste that has both tropical and
citrus hints and undertones.
This wine is definitely a winner.
