So, in my latest over-the-bridge wine foray, I visited
the aisle with sparkling wines as well as wines from South
Africa and Germany last.
While I was more in the mood for a Sauvignon Blanc, I
was out of Chardonnay, and figured that I would try this
one (I had already placed a bottle of Kendall Jackson Grand
Reserve and a bottle of Old Fart's Wife in my cart).
I chose to crack open the bottle on Christmas eve, and I
was very pleased with the taste that it delivered. It has
citrus like a sauvignon blanc, but lime versus grapefruit.
It was a very welcome tang, and not finishing it all that
night, I decided to complete the bottle in the morning.
I would consider this another great purchase in the
under $10 range that can challenge some stuff in the $10 to
$25 range.
