This was the wine that I have been anticipating having again since the first time that I had it two months ago. This wine is the perfect mixture of dry and wet. When you taste it, you are hit with an overpowering pepper that blends into a concoction of dark red fruits; plums/currants and cherries.

It is both dry, yet somewhere between medium and full bodied, with low tannins and yet a taste that begs for something red, whether sauce or meat, and spicy. This actually would go phenomenally with cured meats, or equally with a dessert that makes use of cinnamon. Ginger and nutmeg based dishes would also be great mixtures as well.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
