I've probably had no more than tn Gruner Veltliner's over
the edge, normally staying away from the because of the
petrol(oily) edge to them, but then again, I have to
challenge myself in this endeavor, so I picked up a bottle.
The wine immediately engages you with a nice sour green
apple taste and then immediately lets off to the typical
petrol taste. This wine takes some time to get used to, but
can be a great accompaniment to some poultry and seafood dishes.
