You ever have one of those moments when you can't
decide on what just happened, and it's hard to separate
the combination of two things? Well, this just happened
to me.
Tokai is a lovely grape, and I've probably had the
Trebbiano grape before in the last two years, but this is
the first time in my wine experiences where I have had to
actually name them (I love this job).
The Tokai grape gives this wine it's little bit of dry
aspect [and I believe the slight taste of apple], but at
the same time, I am getting just the most subtle but
interesting amount of spice (nutmeg or coriander) crossed
with a trace amount of acidity (lemon).
This wine is probably best with lighter fare, or even
chicken with a nice white sauce on it, or anything with
pesto or basil.
