You ever have one of those moments when you can't decide on what just happened, and it's hard to separate the combination of two things? Well, this just happened to me.

Tokai is a lovely grape, and I've probably had the Trebbiano grape before in the last two years, but this is the first time in my wine experiences where I have had to actually name them (I love this job).

The Tokai grape gives this wine it's little bit of dry aspect [and I believe the slight taste of apple], but at the same time, I am getting just the most subtle but interesting amount of spice (nutmeg or coriander) crossed with a trace amount of acidity (lemon).

This wine is probably best with lighter fare, or even chicken with a nice white sauce on it, or anything with pesto or basil.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
