Being a fan of Gloria Ferrer's Royal Cuvee sparkling wine, I figured that I would pick up a bottle of their Chardonnay.

Open opening it and taking your first sip, your tastebuds are engulfed with the taste of spiced pear (I didn't know what to call it, though it didn't taste like pepper, so I had to look on the bottle to identify it; guess what, I don't like cooked pears).

While I refused to drink it the first day, I resumed killing the bottle on the second. I must say that I drank it because I had it, but unless you like the taste of cooked or spiced pears, I would leave this one alone.

Sorry Gloria.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
