Pinot Grigio(PG) is basically water to the average wine drinker, but given the challenge of trying this, I gladly accepted and was won over. The amount of flavor and alcohol in your basic pinot grigio is just a step above drinking a Coors Light, however, this wine will definitely make you turn the other cheek. Packed with flavors such as papaya (or pear and Fuji apples as their website says) and ginger, this is definitely a PG that you can serve and drink with confidence; not like ordering a cranberry juice in a biker bar!

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
