Searching for something interesting to have for the holidays, I came across the line of sparkling wines from the Boisset Family Estates Collections, and so I choose to pick one of each (rose, brut, Blanc de Blancs) and so far I have been wonderfully surprised.

This wine has a lovely combination of apricots, toast and even a slight dash of honey on the tongue with a nice citrus and slight acidity that makes it very approachable for about every occasion.  While this is done in the traditional method, if the production process was a lot better, this wine would rival some Champagnes easily in the twenty to thirty dollar range.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
