So, I was looking for a great Bordeaux blend the other day and was looking for something in between a tried and true Hess wine and Montes Alpha M and was turned onto this wine.  I can say that it is very velvety, but it lacks that character that I am looking for in a true Bordeaux style blend.  The nose is strong and I get a taste that reminds me more of the essence of Merlot than Cabernet [but when you get some pretty good grapes of each, they can fool you into thinking that you're drinking the other] but I can't discern any Petit Verdot, which is my honey.  It's not a bad wine, but not worth what they are charging for it.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
