I had the 2009 release of this wine and wrote that it took awhile to taste the peaches and pears.  Now, several years later, I do realize why that's the beauty of this wine and I understand it.  You see, this wine is from Northern Italy, and the grapes grow cleaner up there and you get a more elegant take on the wines.  This wine reminds me in some ways to a traditional [dry] Riesling in that you get the essence of the grape in its most pure form.  You get some very muted aspects of white peach and a very lessened pineapple.  The nose is very floral and the color is a very light straw yellow.

Try it, you might like it.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
