I first fell in love with this brand with their unoaked Chardonnay, and then liked their Sauvignon Blanc and their Pinot Gris.  Their Zinfandel is in my regular rotation, and this time I also chose to mess with their Cab.

This wine is great, hitting you immediately with a nice rush of cocoa, tobacco and just a little underpinning of green pepper.  The wine has great power and the taste slowly drops off in the back of your throat lasting up to two minutes.  The color is a brownish tinted purple and the mouth is not too heavy.  While this wine only runs about $15 a bottle, it can easily take on many wines costing up to four times it's price.

This wine is a definite bargain and I can't wait to try their Merlot and whatever else that they have.

Good job, Joel, good job.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
