There are many good things that come out of Puglia, my buddy Cosimo is an example of that for example, and I have tasted some lovely wines from this southern region of Italy.

This beauty is made with organic grapes and is 66% Primitivo and the rest Syrah.  Now, while every Italian Primitivo I have enjoyed is never as powerful as some of the all encompassing Zinfandels out of California, this wine piques my fancy.  As soon as you put in in your mouth, your tastebuds are filled with a cornucopia of dark cherries and dark plums and just the faintest bits of leather and tobacco.  The finish lasts a good minute and the wine is smooth, I mean, it's as smooth as a billiard ball rolling down a freshly upholstered pool table with no noise being made.  Just a little bit of tartness, and with a nice purple color that you can lose yourself in, this wine is a great purchase.  Also, the aroma on this wine does tickle your nosehairs a little, giving you a little bit of hint of the alcohol percentage residing within.

This wine will become a new go to wine for me; I can't wait until I get paid again.
