Okay, so Kim Crawford makes an excellent Sauvignon Blanc, but they also make two Pinot Gris/Grigio wines; one from the East Coast and one from Marlborough.  The latter is the best and I won't even pick up the former.  Well, I went out today and I needed some wine, and I saw this and had to check my website to see if this one was the one that I am in love with.

The taste is filled with nectarine, apricot and maybe a little gooseberry.  The mouth is just a little heavy giving it the slightest feel of a nice silk.  If this wine were sheets, there would be some action going on.  The aroma is floral, but the finish lasts for a good twenty seconds or more.

This wine would pair perfectly with a pasta salad, herb or grilled chicken, salmon, veggies, turkey, fish and by itself with a good friend.  Pick up some before it's gone again.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
