Ice wine is not a favorite of mine, though some have definitely won me over. I's a special technique to make it, waiting for the grapes to freeze on the vine, but it can yield some spectacular results. In this case, this wine has a high sugar content, a thick body, and an ambrosial mixture of apricot and peaches in a brew that screams 'give her a dessert with this and you'll win her over.' For women, it might scream 'a little bit of chocolate.'

As far as ice wines go, the price is great for the introductory level. While I have had several others, this is a nice German offering from the country that invented ice wines.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
