Pinotage is one of the grapes that is native to South Africa. Like Malbec, it takes a good winemaker to make it into a nice tasting wine. Unfortunately, every Pinotage that I had I didn't like (note: I have only had a couple). However, I have been waiting around for a rosé variant of it to come to light over here in the US. Well, I finally found one.

I must say that this wine is phenomenal. You taste strawberries and maybe even a little dash of cherry and peach. It's wonderful. The only other thing that they could do with this wine is make a sparkling version!

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
